Corrosion protection from Hyundai Translead
Hyundai Translead offers many Hot Dipped Galvanized components as standard on all of it’s dry and refrigerated van trailers. These components offer greater protection from rain, snow and road chemicals which may reduce the life span of over the road equipment.
Corrosion results in trailer down time and adds to trailer cost of ownership due to the expense of replacing these corroded components. That’s where Hyundai Translead Ultimate Corrosion Protection comes in. Hot dipped galvanized + HT Tuffcoat.
Dry Van: HT Hy Cube, HT Original HT Composite
Hyundai Translead offers the following hot dipped galvanized and HT TuffCoat components for the ultimate corrosion protection.
Upper Coupler. The hot dipped galvanized upper coupler ensures complete corrosion protection underneath the trailer; even in areas you cannot see.
Wing plate. K-Brace and mounting bracket and fully hot dipped galvanized ensuring extra protection where the trailer is most exposed to rock, gravel, and debris.
HDG exterior landing gearRetractable supports at the front of a trailer that provide stability when the trailer is disconnected from the tractor. More legs are also available as an option.
Crossmembers. By fully coating every crossmember, there is no room for corrosion to form in the crevices and corner that paint can sometimes miss.
Turn Signal Bracket. Hyundai Translead goes so far as to fully hot dip galvanize the turn signal bracket thereby preventing corrosion in the smallest cracks and corners.
Slider Rail. The slider rail and crossmember assembly are fully dipped as one component. Preventing rust growth from the inside out. Unlike paint, HDG will not wear off as the bogey slider.
Bogie Box. Available as an option, the entire slider box can be hot dipped galvanized for the ultimate corrosion protection.
Rear Frame. The entire rear frame is hot dipped galvanized preventing corrosion from forming inside tubular members a place where rust can start and attack your trailer from the inside out.
Rear Impact Guard. A fully dipped rear impact guard means complete corrosion protection, even where the guard attaches to the rear frame.
Threshold Pate. The entire threshold plate is hot dipped galvanized offering much longer lasting and complete corrosion protection than paint alone.
HT TuffCoat
For those components that cannot be hot dipped galvanized, Hyundai Translead also offers HT TuffCoat, a zero VOC coating.
